TRAINING

Training has always been core to the EFIA. The need to produce an independent form of training that would allow all those connected with the industry to quickly learn about the process has meant, that over the years, EFIA have developed a range of innovative solutions that would suit the industry . These have included residential training workshops at 2 Levels, In Company Bespoke Courses, Colour Training Courses and FACE Training CD's

EFIA has also developed Workshops specifically related to Lean Manufacturing, Waste Minimisation and Train the Trainer.

EFTA Academy

EFIA has developed the EFTA Academy an online learning resource which allows students to study the flexo process through a Virtual Learning Environment. With over 170 students having enrolled on the Academy to date, this has proved to be a cost effective method of providing fundamental knowledge to the industry. Lean Manufacturing

Lean Manufacturing is core to the success of any packaging print company in the 21st century and the EFIA have been at the forefront of providing workshops to ensure that companies have the facility to learn about the processes necessary to adopt a Lean Culture in their business. Waste Minimisation

This one day fast track course enables all staff to quickly understand the total cost implications of waste and will focus on developing action plans to seek the causes of and develop solutions to waste issues. Dates of public courses will be published here and it is an ideal course to run in house

Fault Finding

The ability to solve print problems quickly and effectively is core to manufacturing excellence and EFIA have developed a number of Fault Finding Tools Poster

The Fault Finding Poster is A1 size and is available as a laminated poster
It identifies, with photographs, 30 common faults and the possible causes of those faults.
Supporting the Poster is a 44 page Handbook which suggests possible remedies to various print faults. Both these items can be purchased from the EFIA SHOP
