BOBST APPRENTICESHIP SUCCESS
(Posted on 01/03/18)
Bobst UK & Ireland are continuing with their Apprentice Recruitment Programme with the addition of two new apprentices within their Spare Parts Department.
BOBST have committed to training at least one apprentice each year as part of their succession planning which has been operating for over 6 years.
Previous recruitment has focussed on the field service division, with apprentices working alongside their experienced mechanical and electrical engineering colleagues.
Alex Gardiner and James Gartside (pictured) were recruited in September 2017 and are currently working towards their qualifications in customer service whilst learning the role of Customer Spare Parts Specialist.
HR Manager, Wendy Knight, commented on their performance to date: “They are both settling in extremely well and we are confident they will enable us to continue to provide world class service for our world class machines. We are delighted to find such bright talent to help us serve our customers now and for the next generation.
"We had a record year of apprentice recruitment in 2017 with two additional apprentice Field Service Technicians, Lewis Davies and James Stout. They join Tom Watkins who is now in his second year apprenticeship and all are developing exceptionally well.
"Our Apprentice Programme would not be the success it is without the support of our existing team of first-rate engineers who dedicate themselves to ensuring that the apprentices receive world class on the job training ”.
The Board of EFIA is also delighted to announce that it is working on the development of a flexographic printing apprenticeship scheme - more information to follow.
