BOBST ASSAULT COURSE FUN DAY - ALL WELCOME
(Posted on 03/04/18)
BOBST are organising a fun day to help raise money for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre based at Headley Court and would like to ask all members of the printing and packaging industry, along with their family and friends, if they would like to take part in helping raise necessary funds for this good cause.
Those of you who attended the assault course challenge last year will remember what a fun packed day it was. Give it a go and see what fun it can be. Who will achieve the best time? Come and join us!
This fun day will be held at Chetwynd Barracks, Chilwell, Nottingham, where everyone will take part in an Assault Course that is used by the Army Reserves!
The course is suitable for all levels with a minimum age range of 8 years old. Everyone will be part of their own team (a minimum number of 5 is required) with multiple teams taking part at the same time. The team must complete each section of the course before they can move on to the next element. Don’t worry though, if there is an obstacle you cannot tackle, another member of your team can take your place. There are even some obstacles that only 3 out of the 5 team members will have to complete.
The date for this fun day is Saturday 16th June 2018 with a start time of 10am. Please allow 4 hours in total, however, it is estimated for each group to complete the course within 1 hour. Everyone is required to make their own way there for an arrival time of 9:45am and to take a packed lunch with them. There is an area available which is suitable for a picnic, so don’t’ forget your blanket! It is advised to wear old clothes with long sleeves and long trousers.
Spectators are welcome to come along and support their team. The assault course can be viewed from outside the safety fence.
As in the previous year, you will be able to purchase certain military and other items on the day.
If you would like to take part in this event, we require a minimum of £30 sponsorship per person. All sponsorship raised will go 100% to the DMRC. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org who will organise your entry.
