(Posted on 03/11/16)
The EFIA Annual General meeting for 2016 took place on 6th October at Bagden Hall, Huddersfield. Board members and association members were in attendance and Andy Young, Chairman, opened the meeting and welcomed all attending.
The Chairman reviewed the work of the Association over the past twelve months and the new Board of EFIA was then elected and accepted. Bob Drew of Lohmann Tapes stepped down and Phil Perrin of Skymark and Mike Adams of Interflex were duly elected. Thank you to Bob for his efforts over many years and please join us in welcoming Phil and Mike to the Board!
Debbie Waldron-Hoines, Managing Director, gave an overview of current activities including an update on the collaborative work with the GPMA and the European FTA. Her review also included future plans to work with the IPIA and the imminent redesign and launch of the next generation Academy e-learning training programme. Hands-on training will also be provided via the partner network to complement the online training during 2017.
Finally, Sally Anne Heaford, EFIA Finance Director, presented a financial overview of the Association, which has gone from strength to strength over the last three years in her care. Current profits are being set aside for investment in training and research and Neil Jones and Mark Hawkings accepted the draft accounts, while Jo Stephenson and Mike Adams accepted the auditors report.
Andy Young thanked everyone for attending the AGM.
