EFIA CALLS ON INDUSTRY TO SUPPORT BEST PRACTICE TOOLBOX

(Posted on 03/05/18)

EFIA is calling on the flexographic industry to support the Flexo Best Practice Toolbox, a comprehensive guide to help companies improve business results and cultivate an efficient print department.

The project brings together international cross-industry expertise, in collaboration with FTA Europe, to provide a relevant and practical best practice reference document for printers and suppliers. The aim is to improve all areas of flexo performance, including productivity, maintaining image and product quality, on-press operations, ink and drying systems, materials and substrates.

Implementing the tools will deliver business benefits across the entire workflow chain; a reduction in waste, higher productivity, consistent quality and reliability, improved environmental performance, safer working practices and improved understanding of processes.

To understand and apply the Toolbox correctly, EFIA recommends that users have completed EFIA’s Academy Training, as this as this provides the bank of knowledge and terminology needed to get the most out of the guide.

Debbie Waldron-Hoines, EFIA Consultant CEO, said: “The Toolbox is a great chance to capture expertise from across the industry, particularly to support the development of a new generation of professionals. It builds on lessons from those who have a breadth of experience and creates a solid platform for future learning.

“It is vital to capture the wealth of expertise resident in the industry today before it is lost forever.”

EFIA and FTA Europe are counting on companies to provide both expertise and financial support for the Flexo Best Practice Toolbox. Interested companies can email admin@efia.co.uk to find out more and get involved.
