(Posted on 23/03/17)
And that’s a wrap! The EFIA Annual Print Awards are over for another year and what a great success they were! With over 500 attendees and £11,000 raised for charity, once again the EFIA Print Awards and Gala Dinner were hailed a great success.
The flexographic industry came together on Thursday 16th March for the crème de la crème of award events to celebrate flexographic print quality, efficiency, innovation, technical development and sustainability.
The annual event was held for the second year running at the prestigious Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham NEC, the perfect place for the industry to come together and celebrate the best in Flexo.
Companies picking up awards included Amcor, Ultimate and Parkside among many others. Leading the winners was DS Smith and Smurfit Kappa who took home a successful haul of 9 and 12 awards respectively.
Andy Young, chairman of EFIA, said: “This awards programme showcases the talent, dedication and capabilities of those in the flexographic print industry. I am truly honoured to be able to highlight their achievements and wish them continued success in the future.”
Best in show was handed to Amcor for its McCain’s Gastro Chips pack submission; Ultimate Packaging Ltd achieved Silver in the category and Bronze went to Americk Packaging.
Not forgetting Norman Jackson of Interflex Group, who was awarded a special award for his outstanding contribution to the Flexo Industry.
